JHM Summer Camp
A Life-Changing Experience
Junior High Camp at Creekside is THE place for your incoming 7th and 8th grade campers to get away from the academic and social pressures of Junior High and instead focus on their identity in Christ and place in God’s family of believers as they get to truly know others and are known themselves. During a week of camp running Sunday through Friday, students will discover who God has made them to be through teaching from God’s Word, small group discussions, and high-energy, meaningful, worship.
Of course, no summer camp is complete without the fun! Creative games and interactive team challenges ensure there is never a dull moment at Creekside. Campers have the freedom to explore the many recreation options at Forest Home all week long. (And with a Blob, Zip Line, kayaks, Sky Trail, Olympic-sized pool, GaGa pit, archery, laser tag, and lake, we mean MANY recreation options!) Campers will enjoy living in community, making new friends, and creating memories that will give them confidence in their faith and identity as a Christian to navigate the changes and challenges that middle school so often brings.
We will depart from the Roadhouse (Bldg 4) on SUNDAY, August 6 at 1:30pm and we will return to the Roadhouse on Friday, August 11 at 1:30pm.
Who will be leading the camp?
Forest Home has a full-time camp staff to run the programs, activities, worship, food, and games. These leaves time for our JHM staff and volunteers to connect with students in meaningful ways, have fun together, and debrief what God is teaching them. JHM Staff and Volunteers will be serving as Cabin Counselors with a small group of students. All JHM volunteers will be fully screened through our Friends Church Life Scan system.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $529. Register before June 25 and receive a $30 Early Registration Discount making the price $499. Students may also want to bring around $30-40 to purchase items from the Snack Shack.
Is financial assistance available?
Students can request financial assistance by emailing email@example.com to receive a scholarship application.
