Meet Our Team

Lori Reedy

Kids Director

It has been Lori’s honor and privilege to be a part of our kid’s staff for 20 plus years! Impacting the lives of not only children but their parents has been an amazing opportunity. What better way to build the kingdom of God than in the hearts and lives of children. She is married to her husband Scott and they are parents of 4 adult children Tyler, Tanner, Coleman, and Katelin. She loves spending time with family, going to the beach, biking, hiking and taking fun vacations!

Carie Morrison

Elementary Director

Carie is a lover of Christ, momma to the cutest little gal Cadence, and a wife to Chris, the man of her dreams. Her roots are from Oklahoma but moved here in 2008 to pursue a job in kids ministry. She has been in kids ministry for 12 years and is loving every second of it. She loves to shop, read, binge Netflix, eat chocolate, and take adventures with her family! She can’t go 24hrs without a Starbucks Refresher!

Alyssa Powers

Elementary Associate

Alyssa is a Biola University graduate who majored in Christian Ministries and is currently earning her MA in Bible Exposition at Talbot Seminary. She loves to have fun, see new sights and is constantly looking for the best taco in town. Alyssa loves creating spaces for 3rd through 6th graders to be able to take one step closer to Jesus in a fun and authentic environment!

Elizabeth Miller

Elizabeth Miller is a proud Pepperdine University graduate. Go Waves! She has always had a passion for early childhood teaching and discipleship – helping children understand what it means to love God and love others. She also finds great joy in connecting with and loving on her volunteers. When she’s not ministering at Friends, she loves to experiment in the kitchen. She also enjoys musical theatre and taking in some culture at local museums. Her four children and her husband, Brian, are a source of great joy and encouragement in her life and you’ll hear her speak of them often!

Krista Ophaug

Elementary Associate

Krista is a graduate of Biola University and has been at Friends Church for 10 years. She loves hanging out with the 1st and 2nd grade kids each weekend and helping them grow closer to Jesus! She is married to Aaron, who is also on staff as the pastor of evangelism. They have two beautiful kids and as a family they love to go for hikes, get donuts, play at parks, and go camping. Krista is grateful for the opportunity to serve the kids and families at Friends Church.

Natalie Washington

Early Childhood Associate

Natalie has her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. She has always loved working with children and is passionate about showing them how to love and live as Christ did. She counts it an honor to care for, pray for, and spend time with the children at Friends. She married her high school sweetheart, Keith, and together they have 3 amazing children who have helped her grow beyond anything she could have ever imagined.
