WEDNESDAYS

Beautiful Outlaw: Experience the Playful, Disruptive, Extravagant Personality of Jesus
Jan 11 – Apr 12, 9:30-11:30am
Worship Center | Room 323

Sometimes a familiar gospel narrative can start to feel like a one-dimensional paper cut-out rather than a rich exploration of the one who was fully God and fully man. This John Eldridge study not only reveals the truth of who Jesus is, it also enables us to experience His personhood, vitality and fearlessness. Join us and come expectant to meet the Savior in profoundly meaningful new ways.

James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. James forces us to face the implications of faith. Be inspired to put your faith into action in practical ways as you get to know both the man and the book of James. Join Beth Moore as she explores such concepts as joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue, humility, prayer and more. You’ll never be the same!

Book of Proverbs
Sep 21 – May 17, 9:30-11:30am
Worship Center – Room 312

The book of Proverbs concerns itself completely with instructing people in the path of wisdom and a life pleasing to God. Proverbs contains some of the most applicable nuggets of truth in the entire Bible. This allows us to see, very clearly, how any particular proverb might be applied to a number of everyday situations we encounter. Proverbs reminds us that God concerns Himself not just with the big, cataclysmic events of life but even those mundane, “invisible” moments in our lives as well!

Armor of God – Tapestry
Jan 11 – Apr 5, 9:30-11:30am
Worship Center – Room B11

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for securing victory against the enemy to fight on good days, bad days and all days in between. It takes an in-depth look at our spiritual armor in Ephesians 6.

Kinsman Redeemer (Ruth) – Precepts
MAR 22 – MAY 3, 9:30-11:30A
Worship Center – Room 113

Don’t Despair. There’s Hope. You Have a Kinsman Redeemer! If you were a slave, who would buy your freedom? If you had an enemy, who would come to your defense? In the Old Testament, this buyer-defender known as a “kinsman – redeemer” was usually a close relative. If you’re a believer, you already have one – Jesus Christ! This rich study shows how Jesus both bought us (redeemer) and advocates (defends) for us, offering us an opportunity to rebuild our broken lives.

Join our new study in the Gospel of Mark, as we wrestle personally with the challenging questions Jesus asked.  “Life is full of questions, and an honest believer learns how to embrace those questions and build a stronger faith in the process.  This fresh new Bible study, filled with provocative anecdotes and excerpts from literature and current events, will help you do just that.”  – From the back cover of Living the Questions in Mark.

The Power of God’s Names
FEB 28 – MAY 18, 7-9pm
Worship Center – Room B11

In biblical times, names communicated a person’s essence – their history, nature, or character. That’s why God revealed Himself by dozens of different names in Scripture. No single name could convey the fullness of His character and works. Join us in this 6-session Bible study as pastor Tony Evans examines prominent names of God in Scripture. By understanding His names, we can experience God more deeply.
