Precept Upon Precept Bible Studies are in-depth inductive studies of the books of the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Inductive study is an investigative approach to the Bible. Precept Upon Precept materials are developed by Precept Ministries – the ministry of Kay Arthur. It is a homework-intensive study that usually takes within 3-5 hours per week.

He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. (9 sessions)

For the first six weeks we will be reading Colossians and gain a fresh appreciation for Christ as the “fullness of God’ and the only source for living the Christian life. The next ten weeks we will be studying Paul’s joy letter to us in Philippians. As Paul shares his desire to know Christ Jesus more deeply, may we all rejoice with Paul and rededicate ourselves to finding joy in Christ. Our final six weeks will be spent in the Psalms where we will read a collection of genuine communications that span the whole range of human emotions. David and other writers honestly pour out their true feelings, reflecting their powerful and life changing friendship with God.
