We want to bring health, hope, and healing to those hurting from the trials of life. We do this by EQUIPPING the body of Christ at Friends Church to become authentic Christ-followers. We also equip you to be ministers to believers and nonbelievers in the midst of difficulties by pointing them to Jesus. This is accomplished through one on one connections and small groups with the focus of compassionate care, biblical teaching, and Christ’s healing. Our goal is to give people help, hope, and healing.

Friends Church Workshop on Bipolar Disorder

Join us on Saturday morning, June 15, 2019 from 8:30A-12P to learn, pray and support others in this time of fellowship in the battle against stigma and suffering in one of the major global mental illnesses.

Mental Illness affects one out of 5 people, and Bipolar Disorder (more commonly Manic-depressive illness) affects 2.6% of the population, afflicting men and women equally, beginning at the average of 25, and at times occurring in adolescence or even childhood.

Bipolar disorder causes dramatic shifts in a person’s mood, energy and ability to think clearly. People with bipolar disorder experience high and low moods- known as mania and depression- which differ from the typical ups- and -downs most people experience. This disorder is felt to be caused by genetics, and stress and brain structure and function, affecting a person’s thought life and emotional life.

This workshop will be hosted by James Farrah, Associate Care Pastor at Friends Church Yorba Linda and will provide information by notable local psychiatrists with a life of Christian faith and professional medical integrity. There will be time for questions and discussion with the doctors, for a day of information, prayer and spiritual comfort

Send us your prayer requests…

At Friends, we believe that prayer is an act that defines our community and invites God to move in mighty ways. There is no need that is too small or too big. We would love to come alongside you in prayer as you journey in faith.
