By clicking this link, you can sign up to serve foster, adoptive, and single-parent families in our church. A member of our team will reach out to explain more about the opportunities while making sure that we’re a match!
Ways to serve include:
Resource Team
Being on the resource team is a great way to show love to a host or foster family without an ongoing obligation. This team is asked to fill “one-off” requests for donations of items including diapers, formula, clothing, baby furniture, car seats, etc. They are also invited to volunteer at larger events such as Boxes of Love.
Care Team
These teams of five to seven individuals care for the currently adopting, fostering, or single-parent households in our church. Whether it’s through prayer, meals, babysitting, arranging a date night, or just showing love, God uses everyone’s gifts and talents uniquely as they come alongside these families.
Family Coach
The role of a family coach is to regularly communicate with a host family to assess their needs and then coordinate with the care and resource teams to provide support where appropriate. These individuals make a major difference in the daily lives of fostering and adoptive families in our church!
Host Family
God continues to prompt members of our congregation to open their homes to children in need by becoming host families. Distinctly different from fostering, hosting involves creating a safe place for a child to go on a short-term basis, so they don’t have to enter the foster care system. Anyone interested in this opportunity will be connected with Olive Crest for screening and training, and we will be with them every step of the way!
