CHILD DEDICATIONS

May 11 & 12

Our greatest desire is to support you as you lead your children to become authentic Christ followers. Friends Church gives an opportunity for our parents to publicly express their commitment to the spiritual training of their children through a child dedication in one of our three services. Parents who want to dedicate their children must attend our Foundations of Parenting class (April 14 @ 11A), which is your first step of partnering with us in the spiritual formation of your child.

Meet Our Team

Lori Reedy

Kids Director

Lori has been a part of our kid’s staff for 20 plus years! It is her honor and privilege to have the amazing opportunity to impact the lives of not only children but their parents as well. What better way to build the kingdom of God than in the hearts and lives of children. She is married to her husband Scott and they are parents of 4 adult children Tyler, Tanner, Coleman, and Katelin. She loves spending time with family, going to the beach, biking, hiking and taking fun vacations!

Natalie Washington

Natalie has her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. She has always loved working with children and is passionate about showing them how to love and live as Christ did. She counts it an honor to care for, pray for, and spend time with the children at Friends. She married her high school sweetheart, Keith, and together they have 3 amazing children who have helped her grow beyond anything she could have ever imagined. She loves animals, sunsets at the beach and watching her children play sports.

Elizabeth Miller

Elementary Director

Elizabeth is a proud Pepperdine University graduate. Go Waves! She has always had a passion for early childhood teaching and discipleship – helping children understand what it means to love God and love others. She also finds great joy in connecting with and loving on her volunteers. When she’s not ministering at Friends, she loves to experiment in the kitchen. She also enjoys musical theatre and taking in some culture at local museums. Her four children and her husband, Brian, are a source of great joy and encouragement in her life and you’ll hear her speak of them often!

Monica Lockhart

Kidscare Associate

Monica has worked in several areas of customer service and management but has always had a love for children. She comes from a large family and counts the bond between her siblings as a source of blessing and strength. When she and her husband discovered that they could not have children of their own, they prayed for guidance and then turned to Olive Crest. God has blessed them since with 6 adopted children. Monica is now an Ambassador for Olive Crest and she witnesses to many churches. She is a child advocate who believes the commandment as given to us by our Lord in Matthew 19:14.

Alexa Richards

Early Childhood Associate

Alexa is currently a student at California State University of Long Beach and majoring in design. She also has a degree form FIDM for visual communications. Besides school, Alexa loves to travel, hang out with friends and family, and serve the community. She has grown up at Yorba Linda Friends and is so excited for the opportunity to bring children closer to God, and be apart of the ministry that shaped her into who she is today.

Jon Fuentes

1st & 2nd Grade Associate

Jon is a student at California State University, Fullerton who is achieving his BS in Health Science. He is passionate about Children’s Ministry and has been serving for a couple of years. He believes that having a strong knowledge of God’s Word is the most important foundation for people of all ages. His love of God began early in his life and he has spent his life spreading the love of God by coaching sports, teaching kids, and ministering to his friends and family. Jon is usually playing Spikeball, eating at his favorite restaurant, In-n-out, and is a die-hard Yankees, Ducks, and Real Madrid fan.

Alyssa Powers

Alyssa is a Biola University graduate who majored in Christian Ministries and is currently earning her MA in Bible Exposition at Talbot Seminary.
